Kaye began square dancing in the mid 1970’s and consider herself to be a dedicated and hardworking dancer ever since, having held a number of executive positions in various square dance organisations. She has held executive positions of the local club, state convention committees and the State Society. Furthermore she has contributed to the National Square Dance Society serving as Secretary and a number of years as State delegate.
Kaye has extensive experience with National Conventions with attendance at about 35 and have been a member of 6 National Committees (Secretary, Co-Convenor, Registrar and Hospitality Co-ordinator) just to name a few and as a member of the ANSDC board since 2012.
Kaye together with her husband Barry have represented Tasmanian in a number of Show Case rounds (including the first one won by Tasmania in Perth in 1978), been honoured by the Tasmania Square Dance Society Inc. with Life Membership in 1993 and been further privileged being added to the National Roll of Honour by the National Square Dance Society in 2012.
